Introducing Indonesian Martial Arts to the World
As part of the International Community Service Program in Thailand, students of the English Education Department (Ardha Satria Pratama – English Education Students ’22) proudly introduced Pencak Silat, a traditional Indonesian martial art, to Chareunsart Wittaya School.
This initiative marked the opening of the school’s very first Pencak Silat extracurricular club, allowing Thai students to learn not only the movements, but also the philosophy and cultural values behind this heritage.
This activity reflects our study program’s vision to deliver innovative and tech-savvy English education with an entrepreneurial spirit, rooted in Islamic values, while strengthening local wisdom. By bringing Pencak Silat to an international stage, our students bridge cultures, promote peace, and showcase Indonesia’s rich traditions to the global community.
